Bookeater

I've been here a few times now and have quite enjoyed it each time! The vegan sandwich is pretty good, as is the brown sugar shaken espresso, if a little too sweet (will try with less sugar next time). I like that they offer tofu, soy chorizo, and vegan cheese in their other options, though I'd appreciate if they were a little clearer on if these subs make the entire dish vegan. They have a great book selection, and I very much appreciate that there's a used book section. The service is fast and they will bring you your order, even upstairs. The atmosphere is cute and cozy but a little on the quiet side for my taste, at least when I've been there. Would definitely recommend paying a visit if you're into books or coffee (or both, like me!).

This place has such a cozy vibe/space! I visited with my friend and ordered the Lox & Cheese and a drip coffee. Both were great! I also ordered their London Fog boba drink while we had a look at their books on the second level. It actually surprised me on how good their boba pearls were! The place upstairs was also very nicely set up. It was small, but there was still enough room to walk around without feeling “in the way”. The lady at the counter was very nice and patient as we placed our orders. I also loved how they had little puzzles you could do while enjoying your stay. We were missing a piece, but we completed what we could! I had a great experience and I would definitely love to visit again!!

Bookeater is my 26th cafe I am reviewing and I have no idea why I left it so late to visit. Super quirky cafe with local art on the walls to purchase. The upstairs is like the most chilled out library, lined with bookcases and comfy seating. Whether you are looking for a quiet corner to read, get some work done or want a chinwag with friends then this is the cafe for you. They have a wide variety of literature to get stuck into. Bookeater also sell books for $1! Now that’s too good of a bargain to bypass. If you are feeling competitive then you can play some video games too. We had the Medium Roast Sumatra Drip Coffee, Salted Caramel Latte and a slice of Orange Cake. The latte and cake were bursting with flavour and absolutely delicious. The Drip Coffee didn’t disappoint. Off street parking is available.

My first time going yesterday. I was given a free voucher at my church 413 Church so i finally stopped by. I asked the barista to give me the house and im not exaggerating, that coffee was one of the best I ever had in this city full stop. And those cinnamon rolls omg why is this such a hidden spot! As a content creator and writer the I have truly found my "hard to find in this city" quiet and kind of insulate atmosphere I have been craving. BRAVO!

Stopped by yesterday afternoon, barista was very friendly and helpful! I was hoping to try a hot chocolate with the lavender syrup and he was happy to experiment with the flavors and made a lavender vanilla hot chocolate that was absolutely delicious. One of the most interesting flavor combinations I’ve ever had but it was very good. Apple cake was quite good too. Small selection of books upstairs was fun to browse. Overall, cute little place with some great food and drink options. Would come back next time I visit.

I often find myself here to drink a cup of one of their delicious coffee drinks, journal and contemplate life. Also a great hangout spot for friends to share a cup of coffee and spill all the tea from their daily lives, or a first date with someone you’d like to love. The atmosphere is only matched by the service and quality of their food and drink. Truly a community treasure!

It is a cute little bookstore/cafe. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends but nice and quiet during the week. The coffee was good and the food was nicely seasoned, tasted fresh and was reasonably priced. Parking can be tricky because it is mostly close to street parking. I would come back again.

This place combines the dreams of cozy reading at a café - with a built in bookstore on the second floor to fuel that reading addiction! Oh, and did I mention the food and pastries are delicious as well? In that case, they are 2 for 2 in my book! (get it?) All in all, I loved exploring this café and I highly reccomend this place as a must-eat location in Rochester.
